My wife and I had a late lunch one day while traveling to CDMX at this restaurant. My wife is of Vietnamese background. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. Reminded me of the 'old school' style of Chinese restaurants that fell out of favor in the USA in the 1980s. The food was well priced (according to USA standards). The vegetables were cooked properly (not murdered and overcooked). Lots of vegetables, which was good. My wife was happy. Good price for a combo #2 (USD12 per person including tips and no alcohol).
Very tasty Chinese food, well seasoned, large portions, personally the chow mein was delicious, the service was good and fast, the place was very clean, they respected all health protocols and social distancing...!!!
The chow was awesome
It is eaten very rich, it is coarse. Only that they serve you very poorly, the wait to enter the dining room was more than 30 minutes, with empty tables and no one comes out to tell you anything, and if you enter they tell you we will come out to receive you, once inside the wait was less but we did wait another 15 minutes, to be served and be able to order.
The servers were very friendly, the food came out quickly, and the rice we ordered was delicious. The broth was also delicious. I 100% recommend this restaurant!

The 4 Mares restaurant bar in Chinatown is the most traditional in the most Asian neighborhood in Mexico City. The food is good and so is the service. The prices are affordable and they sell beer. Of the restaurants I have eaten in in Chinatown, this is one that I would recommend.
